The evolution of Shoeless Joe’s from a simple neighbourhood sports bar to the industry‐leading Sports-Grill you see before you today can be summed up just as simply: the little guy made his own rules and blazed his own path.
From our award winning menu selections to our trail‐blazing restaurant design you can see the moment you drive up and walk into a Shoeless Joe’ Restaurant that we have come a long, long way from that simple sports bar. Just like you, the little guy grew up and evolved.
In 2009 Shoeless Joe’s stepped out in a new direction with the opening of our first smaller-format Sports-Grill. The ambiance is classic Shoeless Joe's--warm and cosy with rich mahogany decor, a TV at every table and plenty of authentic sports memorabilia.
The new format allows Shoeless Joe's to penetrate fresh areas not suitable for our larger-format restaurants. Traditional Shoeless Joe's are about 5,000 sq. ft., however the smaller-format location, as found in Ajax and Leamington, is part of a new concept for Shoeless Joe's. The smaller prototype will allow Shoeless Joe’s to go places where we've never gone before.... It's more compact than our other Shoeless Joe's and is designed to fit into a community.
